ABOUT US

Grandpa's Farm (and family) Phil and Mindi Hopkin are the second owners of the Corn Maize. They have 8 children and 7 grandchildren that have all been part of the day-to-day business of the Maize for twenty plus years. The Hopkin family has a history of farming that goes back four generations. The Maize sits on the original farmstead of the Kramer family where the third and fourth generations still live, work, farm, and raise cattle. To quote another farmer: "We believe true happiness comes from watching your crops ripen in the field. Your children grow tall in the sun, your whole family feels the pride that springs from shared experiences. We believe that hard work and honest sweat are the building blocks of a person's character." For us, the Maize nurtures close family ties that make life rich in ways money can't buy.
